Recording of general information when visiting our website

When you access our website, information of a general nature is automatically recorded by means of a cookie. This information (server logfiles) includes (for example) the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your internet service provider and similar items. This solely involves information which does not allow conclusions to be drawn about your personal identity.

This information is technically necessary in order to correctly deliver website content requested by you, and it is created, as a mandatory requirement, whenever the internet is used. It is processed for the following purposes in particular:

  • To ensure that a connection to the website is established without problems;
  • To ensure smooth usage of our website;
  • To evaluate system security and stability; and
  • For additional administrative purposes.

Processing of your personal data is based on our legitimate interest arising from the aforementioned purposes of data collection. We do not use your data to draw conclusions about your personal identity. The only recipients of the data are the Controller and (where applicable) commissioned processors.

We may statistically evaluate anonymous information of this sort in order to optimize our web presence and the technology on which it is based.

Cookies

Like many other websites, we also use "cookies". Cookies are small text files that are transmitted from a website server onto your hard disk. As the result of this, we automatically obtain certain data such as the IP address, the browser used, the operating system and your connection to the internet.

Cookies cannot be used to launch programs or to transmit viruses to a computer. Based on the information contained in cookies, we can make navigation easier for you and enable our web pages to display correctly.

Under no circumstances is the data recorded by us disclosed to third parties, nor is any link to personal data established without your consent.

In general, you can disable the use of cookies at any time via your browser's settings. Please use your web browser's Help functions to learn how you can change these settings. Please note that certain functions on our website may not work if you have disabled the use of cookies.

SSL encryption

To protect the security of your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption methods (such as SSL) via HTTPS.

Comments function

When users leave comments on our website, not only the comments themselves but also the time when they were created and the user name previously selected by the visitor to the website will be stored. This is done for our security, because we may be prosecuted on account of unlawful content on our website, even if such content was created by users.

Contact form

If you contact us by email or via the contact form regarding questions of any sort, you voluntarily grant us your consent for the purposes of contacting you. For this purpose, you are required to state a valid email address. This is used to allocate the inquiry and then to reply to it. Submission of additional data is optional. The information provided by you will be stored for the purposes of processing the inquiry and for possible follow-up questions. After the inquiry submitted by you has been processed, personal data will be erased automatically.

Use of script libraries (Google Fonts)

In order to display our content correctly on different browsers in an attractive graphical format, we use script libraries and font libraries such as Google Fonts (https://fonts.google.com/) on this website. Google Fonts are transmitted to your browser's cache to avoid multiple uploading. If your browser does not support Google Fonts or prohibits access, content will be displayed in a default font.

Accessing script or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the library's operator. In such cases, it is theoretically possible for operators of such libraries to collect data, although it is currently unclear whether this takes place and, if so, for what purposes.

You can find the Privacy Policy (data protection guideline) of Google, the library operator, here: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/

Use of Google Maps

This website uses Google Maps API for the visual presentation of geographical information. During the use of Google Maps, Google also collects, processes and utilizes data about visitors' use of the map functions. You can find more detailed information about data processing by Google in the information on data privacy provided by Google. By visiting the Google Safety Center, you can also change your personal privacy settings.

You can find detailed instructions on managing your own data in connection with Google products here.

Amendments to the provisions of our Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to adapt this Privacy Policy so that it always meets the latest legal requirements or to implement changes to our services in the Privacy Policy, e.g. when new services are introduced. The new Privacy Policy will then apply to your next visit.
